Our extra-curricular highlights
DEBATING
Students can develop their thinking, communication and teamwork skills through debating and public speaking. They also have the chance to compete in local and state events.
STEPHANIE ALEXANDER KITCHEN GARDEN
The aim of the Stephanie Alexander Kitchen Garden program teaches children about food flavour and the environment through gardening and cooking.
EXCURSIONS
School excursions provide students with hands-on learning experiences beyond the classroom. They offer opportunities to explore new environments, connect classroom knowledge to the real world, and develop social and teamwork skills. Excursions make learning engaging and memorable, helping students gain a deeper understanding of the subjects they study.
SPELLING BEE
Students taking part in the Spelling Bee will be given 30 random words from their reading level word list. They have 25 seconds to spell each word.
Students may not be familiar with all the words they are asked to spell.
The Spelling Bees are competitons that help primary students improved their vocabulary and literacy skills through fun challenges.
PUBLIC SPEAKING
Students build confidence, communication, and critical thinking skills through debating and public speaking. These activities help them express ideas clearly, listen to others, and develop persuasive skills, supporting success in and beyond the classroom.
